The new, fresh design in the interface is developed to give the user an easy-to-navigate and more pleasant user experience. In addition, an extension in the form of four new modules will be implemented in the functionality:
The new module Article helps the user to get full control of a given article number directly in the warehouse. All information is gathered according to three main areas; basic data, price data and stock data - and is looked up against business systems via bar code scanning or manual entry. The basic data shows, among other things, article number, name, lead time, weight and size. The price data shows taxes and prices, while the stock data shows, among other things, how many of the item is in stock, on orders, order point and at which warehouse the item is found. With a drop-down list, the user can "jump" between the various storage locations in the business system. But what good is the module if the information cannot be adjusted on the spot? The article module therefore allows the user to update the article information directly in the mobile device, and then making it possible to send it back to the business system with the push of a button.
The new, relatively self-explanatory module inventory is developed to facilitate the inventory of the warehouse. With a mobile device and associated barcode reader, the user is allowed to increase the efficiency of the inventory while ensuring quality. An inventory list is presented directly in the mobile unit and deviations can also be administered directly in the mobile unit. The digital inventory lists can easily be distributed to several people divided into, for example, article group, article classification, shelf or warehouse. The updated digital pick list is sent to the business system upon completion at the touch of a button, thus creating the basis required for the business system.
Create inbound delivery
With the new module create inbound delivery, the user is allowed to start the process one step before the submission itself is made. Based on a digital list of purchase orders that are planned for delivery, the user can directly in the mobile device create a delivery of the included items. The flow then takes over in the existing module, inbound delivery.
Create outbound delivery
With the new module create outbound delivery, the user is allowed to start the process one step before the actual delivery is made. Based on a digital list of orders that are planned for delivery, the user can directly in the mobile device create a delivery of the included items. The flow then takes over in the existing module, outbound delivery.
In addition to the new design and modules mentioned above, Applitron also introduces barcode reading via the built-in camera in the mobile device. A perfect tool for companies that do not want to use separate units for warehouse staff, and who pick a small number of products per order. However, the built-in scanning function cannot be measured with professional 1D or 2D scanners that are dedicated to the task, so for those companies with high demands on scanning speed and precision, continued professional products are recommended.
